Hello, my name is Dr Pulido and I am taking time away from running my 70 employee primary care practice in the middle of a pandemic to write this complaint and consumer warning about Arlington Toyota service department. A couple months ago I had family intown and I went to lend them my normally reliable Toyota Sienna Van when we notice the AC was not working. As always I took it to Toyota even though it always cost more because I have always felt they where honest and professional. after they looked at it they said the entire AC system was broken and that It needed a new Evaporator in the dash because it had a leak and also that it needed a new compressor for whi9ch it would cost thousands of dollars to fix. Being a frugal son of a Mechanic I decided to save money buy buying the parts at AutoZone and doing the repair myself. after spending $800 at AutoZone for new parts I did my own diagnostic on the car and noticed that the system was full of Freon and that the pressures were normal. Further investigation led me to the problem which was nothing more than a simple fuse. I returned the parts to AutoZone but the kept $200 dollars for shipping cost.Being the hard working son of an honest auto-mechanic this has really pissed me off. I have bought two new cars from Arlington Toyota and have spent over 20 thousand dollars on servicing all my and my family’s cars there over the years. I am not sure what type of protocols and bonus the upper management is giving to their employees to create this type of dishonest environment but I wanted to let you know that I will not take any more business there nor will I recommend this business to anyone. If you work for Arlington Toyota and want to confirm what happened and who did it please email me and I will be happy to give you the van information so that you can fire the people involved.
